Mac App Store version
The Mac App Store version of Book My Luck, including the Sip Buddy subscription, collects no personal data. Your charm settings and your sip tally are stored only on your Mac. The app makes no network connections of its own; purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy, and we receive no account, payment or device information from them. The sections below about license activation, update checks, payment processing and email apply only to the direct-download version sold on this website.
The short version
Your charm preferences are stored on your computer. Buying and activating the direct-download app, checking for updates, using this website and contacting support involve online services. The app does not connect to your calendar.
Local app settings
The app stores preferences such as your selected charm, position and visibility, along with your license key and signed activation certificate. These are not a cloud backup. Do not share your license key or activation link publicly.
License activation
The direct-download app sends your license key, a derived device identifier, platform and computer name to our activation service. The service also receives the request IP address and approximate country. License records and activity history help enforce device limits and investigate activation problems. The device identifier is derived from machine information; it is not an anonymous per-session value.
The current direct-download apps check licenses at launch and periodically while running. Activation certificates have a 60-day validity window and can be refreshed online. This is not a promise of permanent offline operation. The Mac App Store build uses a different purchase flow.
Purchases and email
Checkout is handled by our payment processors, Stripe or Cashfree, depending on where you buy. Payment details are entered with them and never reach our servers. We retain purchase details such as email address, order references, plan, amount, currency and associated license records. Resend processes email addresses and message content to send license and support emails. Supabase stores application-service records, and Vercel hosts the website and API.
Website measurement
The website uses Datafast and our own tracking endpoints to understand visits and purchases. Pages can record a browser-session identifier, page path, referral information, campaign parameters, language, screen size, IP address, browser information and network-derived location fields such as country, region, city, timezone and approximate coordinates. Do not put license keys, private messages or payment details in campaign links.
Support
The contact form stores your name, email address, subject, message, IP address and approximate country so we can manage the request. Confirmation and notification emails may include your message. Please redact passwords, full license keys, payment-card details and unrelated personal information from screenshots.
Updates
The app requests update information and downloads from bookmyluck.com. Hosting services receive the usual network-request information. Download checks do not require access to your calendar.
